Tracking Off Beat / Meleset a.k.a "Latency"

Pada home recording biasanya suara yang kita record terlambat masuk ke komputer atau kadang orang menyebutnya latency atau delay apalagi bila kita kekurangan memori nah untuk itu kita perlu sebuah software yaitu asio4all

Dengan Software ini akan mengurangi latency pada saat wave mapping di DAW kita.
Biasanya bila kita install "Fruity Loops studio" atau "Nuendo" software Asio4All ini sudah diikutsertakan.

MASTERING FOR BEGINNER (bag. 2)

Sebelum lebih jauh. baca postingan pertama Mastering Untuk Pemula bagian 1

File audio saya bukan 44.1KHz sample rate-nya. Misal 88.2KHz, bagaimana caranya menaikkan level/loudness PLUS convert sample rate ?

Sama dengan mastering basic 1. Tapi tambahkan plugin RESAMPLER SETELAH VU meter.


Proses lainnya kurang lebih sama dgn mastering basic 1.

MASTERING FOR BEGINNER (Bag. 1)

Membuat hasil mix lebih loud/keras adalah SALAH SATU tugas 'mastering'. Bukan tugas yg 'utama', tapi adalah prosedur yg biasanya pertama dilakukan saat mastering.
Berikut aku akan coba memberi contoh cara mengeraskan sebuah lagu.

Menggunakan Wavelab

1. BUKA file wav hasil mixingan yg ingin di proses.

2. Di master section-nya wavelab :
- pasang TLs-pocket limiter
- kemudian pasang PSP vintage meter (ref -6dBFS)
- kemudian pasang internal dither : noise type 1, noise shaping 2, output bit resolution 16
- stel master fader-nya wavelab ke -0.3dB


3. Sekarang, kita stel kalibrasi PSP VU meter ke -6dBFS :

Stel 0VU Refer-level ke -6dB


Sekarang VU meter anda sudah ter-kalibrasi ke 0VU = -6dBFS.

4. Play bagian lagu yg paling keras, misal di reff coda. Sambil memperhatikan VU meter, naikan GAIN di TLs-pocket limiter sampai jarum di VU meter menyenggol angka 0dB.


Bisa lebih keras dari 0dBVU, tapi diperlukan trick khusus agar bunyi tidak terdengar pecah. That's another lesson to discuss

Oke sampai sampai disini audio anda sudah lumayan keras/loud Welcome. Ini baru permulaan ! Masih banyak stage2 lainnya utk memoles hasil mastering supaya terdengar seperti cd2 commercial

Jika anda sudah puas dgn level-nya, tekan RENDER


Kemudian pilih WHOLE FILE dan PROCESS IN PLACE.

Kemudian FILE -> SAVE AS -> Masukan nama file baru, kemudian stel output menjadi WAV/AIFF 16-bit 44.1KHz. Audio siap utk di-burn.


Note :

Proses diatas KHUSUS utk file audio yg sudah memiliki sample rate 44.1KHz. Jika file audio yg akan di proses memiliki sample rate yg lain, harus di-convert dulu.
